One of the biggest killers to any momentum in baseball is slipping into a baseball psychology funk
when you begin to doubt your skill as a hitter or pitcher. The thing of it is it can happen at any
time. It just takes a couple funky at
bats or bad innings on the mound. If
you don’t catch yourself in the early stages of this mental malfunctionary action, your confidence
will drop through the floor.
So how do you avoid this mess of having your confidence fluctuate throughout the
season? The proper

The sign of a great mental baseball player is keeping your mind in the
present. We’ve all done
it. We’ve all let our mind slip back
in time to that last at bat that didn’t go so well or the previous inning where you got shelled on
the mound. Good mental athletes can
control this thinking, and you can for sure as well.
Keeping your brain focused on the present and not the past takes awareness. You’d be amazed how many times your untamed
brain slips back into time to revisit a failure that you have no control over. As you go through a workout or a game, be aware
of where you focus is.

Both take consistent practice.
